Pioneertown Realty

Pioneertown is a world renowned and historical little gem. It was founded and built in 1946 to look like the 1870’s by a group of Hollywood investors, Dick Curtis, Roy Rogers and Russell Hayden to name a few. Gene Autry filmed every episode of his show at the six-lane Pioneer Bowl bowling Alley, Rogers himself rolled out the first ball in 1949.

We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do!

More than 50 films and several television shows were filmed throughout the 1940’s and 1950’s. With facades for filming and interiors open to the public, it became a hot spot for the Western movie stars. Today you can enjoy a cocktail and a nibble at The Red Dog Saloon, or live music and dinner at the world famous Pappy & Harriet’s Palace, buy handmade pottery, take a long motorcycle ride or just enjoy an evening stroll down Mane Street. If you want to stay for a night or a week, there are many airbnb’s in the area and the Pioneertown Motel has 19 guest rooms, and is an original fixture built in 1946. Nowadays, they do a Wild West show called the Mane Street Stampede. It’s seasonal, but if you are lucky it operates on the 2nd and 4th Saturday at 2:30 PM. There is also the Pipes Canyon Wildlife Preserve, which allows you to hike or go horseback riding. With a population of only 420 people, it is truly rural living with fabulous homes and incredible views throughout Pioneertown, Burns Canyon, and Pipes Canyon.

Madelaine sold me my home 7 years ago. She was fun, super knowledgeable, and made the process of buying a home easy and pleasant every step of the way. She and her people work together like parts of a super well-oiled machine that gets the job done with grace and precision.
