Layla was born in Huntington Beach, grew up in the Palm Springs area, is a bit of a Southern California gypsy having lived in many communities across Orange County, LA County and is now a happy resident in the Morongo Basin where her immediate family has lived for over a decade. She is an alumnus of Chapman University in Orange and earned a Master of Arts in Special Education.She comes from a background of 20 years in Education as a Special Educator. During her career in education she learned to be patient, a good communicator, proactive and learned the importance of meeting the individual needs of each student and family. As your realtor Layla will be proactive, patient, listen and work tirelessly to meet yours and your family’s individual needs when it comes to finding the right home or selling your property. Layla Ortiz-Thorson entered the Real Estate world in order to provide for her daughter and share her experience with meeting the needs of individuals. She knows the importance of finding the home that will provide the best quality of life for you and your loved ones. She lives in Yucca Valley with her daughter, partner, Tabby Cat, two Buff Orpingtons and an Easter Egger chicken.
In her spare time Layla enjoys brewing beer and is conversational in American Sign Language.
